AS we enter into a new year, God's plans for us are to do us good and not harm. But work God's plan we must, if we expect God's plan to work for us.

Do you know that Jesus Prays for you?

John 16:23-26

Jesus was saying to his disciples that while He was with them, He taught them to pray to Father God for themselves. But after Jesus was also telling them that after he is crucified and ascends to his and our Heavenly Father God, that thins would change. Jesus told them, at that time,  that if they would pray to God, in HIS name: the name of Jesus, that he, Jesus, would pray to the Father FOR us.
It makes sense what the older preachers used to teach us when they told us to lay our burdens down at the feet
ofJesus and leave them there. They were teaching us that Jesus will now take care of it. Jesus has your burdens
now; you don't have to worry about them anymore, or be anxious; don't go back and take your worries out of Jesus' hands. Trust him to take them to the Father on your behalf! And in the process, our intercessor and advocate, Jesus, will speak to the Father with clarity, for your situation, and plead your cause.
My son told me: "Your worst day is never so bad that God's Grace cannot reach you. AND your best day is never so good that you do not need God's Grace. AND God's Grace will never lead you where His Grace cannot keep you.
Trust God your Father and Jesus Christ your Savior with your life, and you will be alright.

Does Forgiveness feel like a yo-yo? You throw it out, but it keeps coming back to you?

Scriptures: Matthew 6: 12,14-15 If you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your heavenly Father
forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 18:21,35  Jesus said that we must forgive seventy times seven, if need be. Jesus said that our
heavenly Father will turn us over to the tormentors, if we do not forgive, from our hearts.
Mark 11:25 When you pray, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father, which
is in heaven, can forgive you.But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father forgive you.
Luke 6:36-37 Jesus says: love your ememies and do good.Be merciful as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and
you will not be judged: condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive and you shall be forgiven.
Luke 23:34  Jesus said, Forgive them for they know not what they do.

I will preface this teaching by saying: even though we forgive, from our heart, as God commands, it does not mean that we should necessarily be reconciled to certain people. Even the Bible tells us that evil companions corrupt good morals. It may not be safe or wise to be have a relationship with some person, even though you have forgiven them..
The forgiveness of God, is from your heart, to release such persons from your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual connection. It also means that we choose to release ourselves from the constant memories and pain, through God's way: forgiveness. Every Word of God is a double eged sword, it cuts, and divides and does its works both ways, for the other person as well as ourselves. What we do for someone else, God will do for us.
Do not be afraid to forgive. It is the foundation of our  Salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord.

The key is to cut the string. How do we do that! We do that through prayer and determination, with the full understanding of what forgiveness really is.
God says that we must forgive others who have mistreated us, abused us, persecuted us, hurt us, turned against us, then God will  forgive us, That is a hugh movitor for us to forgive. Sometimes, we might forgive, only as an act of obedience to God, but our heart is not in it.
We might begrudge forgiving the person or persons because we feel that 'they' have not suffered enough. We just don't want to see them get off that easy: 'Scott free' so to speak.
We got off 'Scott Free' without being made to suffer until we had paid for all our sins. No, Jesus redeemed us while we were still in our sins. He
suffered for us, so that we would not have to. God no longer held us accountable for the wrongs we had done, our sins. God then turns around and
holds us accountable to conform to the image of Christ and behave just like Him. It is then our turn to forgive, the same as our Savior forgave us.

True, sincere forgiveness is an absolute commandment of God and no amount of excuses on our part can change that.
Once we truly expderience the Awesome, Powerful, LOVE of the Mighty God, whose desire it is that none should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and repent and be saved, then we understand God's concept of forgiveness.
When we pray for those who have persecuted us and done evil and wicked things against us or perhaps  to those we love, it actually unleashes the will of God to send forth His army of warriors, through the Holy Spirit, to convict that person of his sin, and open the path through which that person can come to God, through the Lord Jesus.

God says: "He that wins souls is wise". The only souls that need to be saved are those who have not seen the error of their wicked way. God is telling us that we have a great part in bringing people to the knowledge of the Truth. Through our forgiveness, we actually have a part in paving the way for that person's heart to answer the call of God for salvation. Once we have that understanding, then one would have to ask: why would I not want to loose any person to God's wooing for Salvation? Do I not want to see people saved?
The next thought is:  when I was in my sin,  I hurt and transgressed against people. I wanted to have my own way, and things were more important to me than people. I wonder how many of those people that I wronged, forgave me. Could that be one reason why I could be 'touched' by God for conviction of my sinful past?
We do not know which Godly people in our past loosed us to the salvation process, by forgiving us, even though we might not have.ever asked that person or persons to forgive us; they simply forgave in the silence of God's Throne Room. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
Our forgiving others is a catalyst for our being forgiven, and receiving many blessings and much favor from God. I don't believe that holding on to unforgiveness, grudges, and hatered is worth  losing your blessings and not getting your prayers answered? Most of all, we do want to please our Heavenly Father and make him smile. We want to be a 'SunBeam' for Him!

It might be time to get rid of the 'unforgiveness yo-yo'. It is a killer, not a toy!
God bless you as you continue to receive truth, and grow in knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you are still having trouble letting go of unforgiveness, but truly desire to do so, write me an e-mail and tell me about it, and I will write you back and pray for you.

Have you ever wondered, "What is Salvation anyway?"

John 3:16-18, 1 Timothy 2:3-5, 11 Corinthians 4:6, 1 Colossians 1:10

God created every human being that was ever born. God did not leave mankind without a way of Salvation, being
cleansed from sin, so that we could return to Him after our death. God gave to every man/woman at creation, the
measure of faith that we would need to believe and understand His truth.
Therefore, we are without excuse, for not knowing or embracing who the God of this world is. God has said in His
Word, that it is His desire that none would perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth and
You might be asking, "But what is the TRUTH that God wants me to know?"
John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
1 Timothy 2:3-5
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who would have all men to be saved, and to come unto the

knowledge of the TRUTH: that there is ONE God, and ONE mediator between God and men,the man Christ Jesus,

who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
11 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the Light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,to give the light of the knowledge

of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
You might be asking, "To what purpose do I need this knowledge of God?"
It is for the purpose of Salvation through the redemption of the blood of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. God wants
to bring us to Himself after our physcial death, but without repenting of sin through the acceptance of the
sacrifice of His Son Jesus, there is no Salvation. God tells us in His Word that there is no other way to redeem
us from our sins. And redeemed, we must be. We must have God's Salvation, to enter into the Heavens with God, after
our death on this earth.
Colossians 1:10 tells us:
That after we are saved through accepting Christ's death on the cross for us, it is profitable for us to be filled
with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that we can walk worthy of the Lord
unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
God desires for us to continue to learn about His love and purpose for our lives. We are commanded to strive to become a better
version of ourselves, through conforming to the image of Christ, in other words, we look at the pattern of Jesus Christ and we copy it.

He is the pattern and blueprint for life. If we use any other, we will not look become like Jesus. If you wanted to build a mansion, but you used the

blueprint for a chicken coop, which would be your final construction? If you wanted to make a wedding dress, but used the pattern for a house coat, which would be your final construction?
The very word 'Christian' means: A follower of Christ and all His teachings.

Our heart's desire for you is, that you will chose to become a follower of Jesus Christ through His redemption that God has provided for you, through

the sacrifice of His dear Son, Jesus Christ, the Righteous.

Psalms 55: 1,8, 16-18
Give ear to my prayer, Oh God; and hide not thyself from my supplication. I would hasten my escape on the windy storm and tempest. As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud; and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for as there were many.

Erratic with motion your ship on the ocean
Is tossed with an echo of rage,
You battle the force as your ship stays the course
While resistance is setting the stage.

The sea rages high as to threaten the sky

Exploiting your measure of doubt
Then fear enters in and you soon comprehend
If you turn back you’ll find your way out.

With lightning increasing the sky is releasing
A payload that’s aimed at your soul,
But if you turn back your surrender will lack
The reward of achieving your goal.

With white caps now streaming your eyesight is seeming
To dim as destruction takes form,
But you face toward the gales as your ship onward sails
And forge on toward the eye of the storm.

For it's there you’ll find peace and a sudden release
When you’re drawn to its beckoning call,
You enter the storm and the storm seems to die,
Though the rain still continues to fall.

The eye of the storm where you feel safe and warm
Does not mean that the storm fades away,
The eye is a place where you learn you can face

Any storm, when the storm's held at bay.

Sometimes in this life we are battered with strife
And the waves of emotion crash in,
But we must not fail to continue to sail
Or we might face the same storm again.

For it’s often a test that inhibits your quest
That the Lord is allowing to form,
So when hope is fading remember God’s waiting
For you in the eye of the storm.

When Today Is Just Not Your Day

Sometimes you just feel exhausted and feel no sense of joy because of the external pressures weighing down on you.  Do you ever feel like you have no strength or no song in your heart?  On days like that, you should lean on God.  Remember this:

Psalms 118:14-15

The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.  The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

So no matter what is going on in your life, you can always look inward to your relationship with Christ and know that he loves you and that is worth celebrating!  When you are tired, God will be your strength.  When you are destitute, God will be your song.  Praise God today and see how that makes an impact in your life!
